DTZ Qatar – Ravinder Kaur, Half Marathon Press Release
Ravvy Kaur, an RICS Registered Valuer, in the Valuation team, at DTZ Qatar ran the Ooredoo Doha Half Marathon this weekend, for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, autoimmune disease of the brain and spinal cord that disrupts the flow of information between the brain and the body. The cause of MS is unknown with more than 2.5 million people in the world, mostly females between 17 and 27 years suffering from MS. Whilst there is no known cure for MS, treatment generally focuses on slowing the progression of the disease and managing its symptoms.
Miss Kaur stated:
“The charity is something very close to my heart, with the MS Society having invested over $148 million into world-class research since 1956 to ensure those suffering from MS have the treatments and services they need. They invest millions into MS nurses, programs and services to help people with MS.”
Edd Brookes, General Manager of DTZ Qatar stated:
“DTZ Qatar have very kindly agreed to match all donations made, which will help many people suffering from MS and their families move forward with their lives. Being a proud Qatari company, we are delighted to continue our sponsorship of great causes both within Qatar and further afield, and are very pleased by the efforts made by Ravvy to complete the half marathon.”
